- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- 6 cups rice krispie cereal
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 9x13 inch baking dish
- Parchment paper
Method
- Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and matcha powder, stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and add the rice krispie cereal, salt and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press down with a spatula until it is evenly distributed.
- Let the mixture cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Make sure to use unsalted butter for this recipe. You can also use salted butter, but make sure to omit the salt in the recipe. If you want a stronger matcha flavor, you can add more matcha powder.
