- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste

Method
- Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep the rice aside.
- Grind the mint leaves into a fine paste using a mixer grinder. Keep the mint paste aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomato, green chillies, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the mint paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add the soaked rice and mix well. Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
- Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and fluff the rice with a fork.
- South Indian Pudina Rice is ready to be served.
