- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste

Method
- Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- Drain the water and add the rice to a medium-sized pot with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for around 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- In a separate frying pan, heat the oil on medium heat and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and dried red chilies. Fry for a few seconds until the mustard seeds start to pop.
- Add the turmeric powder and red chili powder and fry for a few more seconds.
- Remove the pan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until it is smooth.
- Add the cooled rice to the yogurt and mix well.
- Add the fried spices and salt to taste and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.

- You can add more or less spices depending on your taste.
