Add chopped carrot and potato and sauté for 2-3 minutes. 6. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder to the vegetables and sauté for 1-2 minutes. 7. Drain the water from the rice and add it to the pot. Mix well with the vegetables. 8. Add enough water to cover the rice and vegetables. Add salt to taste and mix well. 9. Cover the pot and let it cook until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. This usually takes around 20-25 minutes. 10. Once the rice is cooked, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
