Method
Follow these steps to make prawn fried rice Bengali style:- Wash the rice in cold water until the water runs clear. Drain the rice and set it aside.
- In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice and a pinch of salt. Cover the pot and simmer the rice for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked.
- In a wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the onion is translucent.
