Ingredients

  • 2 slices ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Method

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and water until it forms a smooth dough. 2. Divide the dough into small balls, approximately 1 tablespoon each. 3. Flatten each ball with your thumb and place a small amount of sweet filling in the center. 4. Wrap the rice ball around the filling and roll it into a smooth ball. 5. Repeat until all the dough and filling are used. 6. In a saucepan, bring the water, rock sugar, ginger, and salt to a boil. 7. Reduce the heat to low and add the rice balls to the soup. 8. Cook for approximately 5-7 minutes or until the rice balls float to the surface. 9. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

If the dough is too dry, add a small amount of water until it forms a smooth consistency. If it is too wet, add more rice flour.
